I want to read more Science Fiction in 2009.
I plan on starting with either ” I, Robot” by Issac Asimov or “Dune” by Frank Herbert
Which would you Chose?
…or do you think i should start with something else?
I am also open to suggestions….

i would choose Dune,…more classic. I would also suggest The Giver, 1984 and Brave New World if you haven’t ready either of those. All classics!

I read Dune a long time ago, highly recommend it. Also “A Stranger in A Strange Land” by Robert Heinlein. If you like CyberPunk check out, anything by William Gibson

I would start with some Larry Niven, he created the Known Universe his most famous would be the Ringworld series, great stuff, also check out his Long Arm of Gill Hamilton

I haven’t read I, Robot (but it’s on my “to read” list….along with more books that I could read in a year) but I have read Dune and highly recommend it. Great book. It’s on my “to read again” list (that list is shorter).
I would also recommend “Ender’s Game” by Orson Scott Card.
If you haven’t read them already, Timeline and Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton are good, quick reads. For classic sci-fi, it’s hard to beat Jules Verne. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is one of my favorite. Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein is also good…and much cooler than the movie.
